日本イスラエル親善協会では、ヘブライ大学のベン=アミー・シロニー名誉教授によるオンライン講演会「日本・イスラエル両国は21世紀にどう向き合うか」を開催いたします。

イスラエルにおける日本研究の第一人者であるシロニー教授。つい先日、イスラエルで最高の栄誉とされている「イスラエル賞」も受賞されています。日本語が堪能でいらっしゃるシロニー教授ですが、今回の講演会は英語での公演となり、日本語通訳を介して皆様にお話をお届けします。

【シロニー名誉教授の略歴】1937年ポーランド生まれ。1948年にイスラエル移住。ヘブライ大学、国際基督教大学、プリンストン大学に学び、2006年までヘブライ大学で日本の歴史と文化を講義した。
通訳 河野 至恩（こうの しおん）
上智大学国際教養学部、グローバル・スタディーズ研究科准教授。プリンストン大学大学院比較文学部博士課程修了。専門は比較文学、日本近代文学。著書に『世界の読者に伝えるということ』（講談社現代新書、2014年）。

ABOUT THIS EVENT – “How will Japan and Israel face the 21st century?”

The 2nd 2021 Web Lecture hosted by the Japan-Israel Friendship Association (JIFA) will be held on March 18th (Thursday) from 19:00 (JST). The lecturer is Professor Emeritus Ben-Ami Shillony of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who received the Israel Prize this year. The Israel Prize is the highest prestigious award in the country. The title is “How will Japan
and Israel face the 21st century?”

He is a pioneer and a leading researcher in Japanese studies in Israel. He is fluent in Japanese, but this time he will give a lecture in English with Japanese translation.

Lecturer Professor Emeritus Ben-Ami Shillony of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
[Biography] Born in Poland in 1937. He immigrated to Israel in 1948. He studied at the Hebrew University, International Christian University, and Princeton University, and until 2006 he taught Japanese history and culture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
